Frequently Asked Questions – 45-Degree Grab Rail

Grab rails offer stability, balance and support, assisting with transfers in areas where a slip or fall is considered high risk.

  • For cavity walls, the grab rail must be fixed to the internal wall stud or a solid framing structure. This may require the grab rail to be installed on an angle to match the distance between the studs.
  • Brick, timber frame or plaster board will all require different methods of installation.
  • It is recommended that a builder be consulted to ensure that the correct fittings are used for specific types of walls.

The included fixings are suitable for use with solid walls only.

It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that the correct fixings are used to suit the wall type.

We recommend cleaning with a soft cloth and warm soapy water, followed by a rinse with clean water. Do not use abrasive cleaners as this may scratch the surface. Stainless steel cleaners can be used being careful not to expose the rubber seals to the cleaner.
